Loader Operator Job Description

Loader operators are an integral part of our team. As an operator, you will work seasonally beginning late-summer with the beet harvest and ending in spring.

Requirements: 

Loader operators typically work twelve-hour shifts, with every other weekend off.

Experience driving an articulated loader. 

Job Description:

  • Safely and skillfully operates an articulated front-end Loader as large as 12 cubic yards during the sugar beet campaign.

  • Maintains the safety zone at outside sugar beet piling grounds. Marks the site with safety cones, and maintains a smooth surface within the safety zone. This may require the use of a shovel and other hand tools.

  • Maintains the beet piling site by moving snow and debris.

  • Performs pre and post-shift equipment inspections of the loaders including tires, air brakes, fuel tank, batteries, hydraulic and electrical systems, lights and reflectors, CCTV systems, and fluid levels.

  • Fueling the loader.

  • Lubricating the loader.

  • Cleaning the bucket of accumulated mud, ice, snow and sugar beets.
